Based on their drive mechanism, these devices are categorized into two major types:
Manual Pallet Trucks: These rely on manual force applied to a handle to actuate the hydraulic system. A typical example is the AMW 22 series, which can lift a 120 kg load with just three pump strokes and is equipped with four-point load cells to achieve an accuracy tolerance of 0.1%.

Electric Pallet Trucks: These feature three distinct operating modes:
Walkie-style: The operator walks alongside the equipment to control its movement; an example is the TPC-1 model, which is equipped with a stabilizer frame and a drive wheel assembly.
Stand-on style: The operator stands on a platform integrated into the equipment to control steering; a representative model is the EJE C20, which supports a lift height of 752 mm.
Sit-down style: Configured with a driver's seat and steering wheel, this style is designed for scenarios involving long-distance transport.
